Recently GN solids control shipped several units of solids control equipments for Uzbekistan for cold weather, these equipments are special for low temperature operation to -50℃.We have provided such low temperature solids control equipments to Russia area oil & gas drilling rigs before, including the containerized drilling waste management system. The technical configuration of low temperature containerized drilling waste management system is as below:


The feeding system to the drilling waste management system is through screw conveyor, it is transferred to the open top of the vertical cuttings dryer. One unit of vertical cuttings dryer installed on the mud tank, the discharged solids are dropped down to a continuously working screw conveyor to ship it out from the opening of the standard 40ft container. The fluids dropped to the mud tank and the screw pump will transfer it to the VFD decanter centrifuge ,which is also installed on a short mud tank, the fluids are treated by the VFD decanter centrifuge again and the solids discharged will be also transferred out by the screw conveyor for disposal. Another screw pump is installed on the vertical cuttings dryer mud tank as the flushing pump, once the working is finished, it is necessary to flush it or when the screen basket is blocking, it is necessary to flush with the flushing pump.


All the equipments are installed inside the 40ft container to keep the system warm in cold weather below minus zero degree, to prevent it from getting frozen. The 40ft container is with windows and doors for convenient operation, all the walls attached with the Insulation for better warm.

1500 HP drilling rig solids control system is ready for shipment to India, this is not a complete solids control system, but the essential mud tank for the solids control system- shaker tank, the technical specification is as below:


1) 3 units of GNZS703F-SHBF shale shaker with 3pcs screens with composite material frame shaker screens
2) 1 unit of GNZJ703F-S2S12NF mud cleaner which is desander cone, desilter cone and under flow shale shaker which is the same model with shale shaker


3) 1 unit of horizontal vacuum degasser GNZCQ360A
4) 1 set of mud tank equipped the equipments mentioned above, the mud tank dimension is 14000 x2800x 2500mm, including the trip tank, sand trap, desander compartment, desilter compartment, degasser compartment
5) 2 units of centrifugal pump as feeding pump of desander and desilter
6) 1 unit of centrifugal pump as trip pump
7) 1 unit of mud gas separator GNZYQ1000A
8) 1 set of carbon steel material shed for sun proof, rain proof


The one mud tank design is to meet the client’s requirement to replace the old shaker tank, and the remained part of the existing solids control system is still in usage. All the necessary connection dimensions can fit with each other through good communication with clients. The explosion proof electric control system is equipped to control all the electric motors in the system and the big motors are controlled in the MCC at client’s rig site.

This week GN solids control shipped one unit of HDD mud recycling system and dewatering unit to Sinopec project. HDD is one of our major applications, GN equipments 4 major applications including oil & gas industry solids control system and drilling waste management system and oil sludge separation system, HDD & CBM industry mud recycling system, Piling & TBM desander unit, Industry waste water treatment.


The technical configuration is as below:
1) 3 phase cleaning mud recycling system mud tank, with containerized frame for convenient transportation, the user can put the mud tank and the frame with equipments on the trailer and move to another site from one site.
2) 1 unit of GNZS703F shale shaker as the first phase cleaning equipment, equipped with 3pcs of durable composite material shaker screens with customized API mesh screen. We produce OEM composite material shaker screens from API 20 to API 325 as per client’s requirement.


3) 1 unit of GNZJ703F-1S8N mud cleaner, with under flow shaker, desander cone and desilter cone combination unit. Equipped with 2 units of centrifugal pumps as feeding pump of desilter cone and desander cone.
When the drilling fluids temperature is over 70 degree, we will use special material hydrocyclones for longer working life.
4) Dewatering system with same dimension mud tank
5) Decanter centrifuge GNLW363C-VFD is the 4th stage cleaning to separate fine solids smaller than 15 microns. After several years working, more and more fine solids are accumulated in the tank bottom, these fine solids can not be separated by the desilter cone, then high speed decanter centrifuge is required to clean the drilling fluids, otherwise it can not be reused for drilling again.

GN solids control shipped one unit of hydrovac excavation waste slurry treatment system to Canada this week. The configuration is as below:
1) Dewatering centrifuge modular:


One unit of 22 inch bowl decanter centrifuge with feeding pump, telescopic skid as dewatering centrifuge unit, it can work together with chemical dosing system by adding flocculant or chemicals. A fluids catching tank with pump is installed under the centrifuge fluids discharge port to collect the fluids discharged from the dewatering centrifuge.
2) Fine Solids Hydro cycling Separation Module


GN mud cleaner ( desilter cone with bottom shale shaker) separate the ultra fine solids by desilter cone with feeding pump, the cut point is 25 microns. The washing tank under the mud cleaner collect the clean slurry discharged from desilter, and the drying shaker recover more useful fluids and make the discharged solids much drier.
3) Waste Collecting and Washing Module


Firstly the waste ( composed of water, soil, large size trash and other mass) is delivered to the site by hydrovac truck and discharged to the large collection hopper, a bottom screen separate the large size trash from the waste slurry. After separation, the waste is collected by the mud tank under the coarse screen. The waste slurry is pumped to GN high G drying shaker to separate fine solids and reduce the solids content. The high pressure jetting device is used to flushing the screens to avoid the blocking of shaker screens and wash the slurry.GN own made composite material shaker screens for longer working life is installed on the shale shaker.
