Below is the photo taken at site of GN oil sludge treatment plant in China. We have 3 standard model of oil sludge treatment plant with treating capacity 1m3/h, 5m3/h, 15m3/h. Also we can make customized design for client’s special requirement. The technical configuration of a standard oil sludge treatment plant including:


1) Oil sludge transfer modular: we use vacuum pump to take the oil sludge from the waste pit to pre-mixing modular.
2) The pre mixing tank equipped with heat lines around the tank wall inside, the operator need to supply hot steam or hot water to the heat lines to remain the oil sludge temperature up to 60℃, it will increase the flowrability of the oil sludge for better separation of solids and easier to be transferred by the submersible slurry pump to shale shaker modular. The operator should add chemicals according to the oil sludge material conditions, the purpose to add demulsifiers is to make it easily break from solids, so that the further process shale shaker and decanter centrifuge can separate the oil easily. The mud agitator will mix the chemical with oil sludge evenly.


3) The shale shaker modular will separate the coarse solids from the oil sludge, the solids will be collected by waste container, the shale shaker is closed by cover to prevent it from splash, and internal spray system to flush the screens in case of blinding the screens because of high viscosity. The oil sludge will drop down into the mud tank and transfer to decanter centrifuge modular by screw pump.
4) The decanter centrifuge working together with dewatering unit will separate the fine solids from the oil sludge, the fluids will flow to the intermediate tank , then the diaphragm pump will transfer the mixture fluids to 3 phase centrifuge to separate oil from water.

Recently 2 packages of triple shale shaker and 2 sets of mud cleaner are ready for shipment in our factory. The technical configuration of triple shale shaker is as below:


1) 3 units of GNZS594G-SHBF shale shaker which is equivalent with world famous model shale shaker, each shaker with 2 ea DGMS & IEC EX & ATEX approval vibration motor, each with 2.5HP power to provide high G force up to 7.5G. The shale shaker can be widely used for Suitable for Oil Based mud and cuttings, Water Based mud and cuttings, Synthetic based mud and cuttings, oily sludge. The shaker screen is durable composite material frame shaker screens with dimension 585x1165mm, the total screen area is 2.73m2.


The shale shaker is dual motion shale shaker, one is linear motion shale shaker with max 140m3/h capacity, the other one is progressive elliptical motion with max 100m3/h, there is control on the starter to change the vibration motion. The starter with Cast aluminum Control Cabinet, the electrical components are from Siemens/ Schneider/ABB brand for convenient outsourcing.
2) Triple shaker skid with 2 ways slide gate as drain port, during shipment, the 3 shakers, possem belly and skid will be disassembly to suit for the container loading.
3) Possem belly with slide gate for convenient operation
The mud cleaner with the same bottom shale shaker and same dimension shaker screens, the top hydrocyclones frame installed with 3 nos of 12 inch desander cone, 20 nos of 4 inch desilter cone with total treating capacity of drilling fluids over 1500gpm. The 20 nos of 4 inch desilter cone in 10 sets. The cone material is 100% polyurethane for longer working life.
This is special designed for our customer’s requirement, we have standard triple shale shaker and mud cleaner as GNZS594F-SHBF and GNZJ594F-3S16N if no special requirement.

Recently we have one batch of composite material frame shaker screens ready for shipment for a international drilling companies. We packed 18pcs screens at each plywood pallet, each piece screens packed by GN standard design paper box, we can also provide neutral paper box as per client’s requirement.


GN shaker screens are produced as API RP13C standard and have test report from API authorized agent in America. We can produce shaker screens from API 20 to API 325, the mesh size over API 60 all adopted 3 layers stainless steel wire mesh for better strength. The composite material frame lasts longer working life than steel frame screens, and larger effective screen area for better separation performance.


Shale shaker is the first phased cleaning equipment at solids control system, shaker screens are consumption parts of shale shaker, the user always make proper stocks for the shaker screens for convenient operation, the composite material frame screens can be storaged up to 5 years without getting rust. Based on different drilling fluids, the shaker screens working life will be different. The composite material shaker screens are repairable with plastic plug. The 3 layers 4-sides pretensioned wire mesh before heat pressing will provide enough strength. We can make customized color for the composite material frame as per client’s requirement. We adopted wedge as shaker screen locking system, the user can replace the shaker screens easily and fastly, the user can use the ratchet wrench to lock and release the wedge and take the shaker screens easily. The shaker deck angle can be adjusted by both sides simultaneously from -1ºto +5º.
When install the desander and desilter frame on top of shale shaker, the 3 in 1 mud cleaner as the second phase cleaning and the third phase cleaning equipment. The desander cone and desilter cone are 100% PU wear-resistant material.

Recently 2 sets of shale shakers are shipped to South America, together with 500 pcs shaker screens and other wear parts for stock. This is repeat order from the same client, they purchased 2 units of high speed decanter centrifuges before.


The shale shaker model is GNZS703F-SHBF, with shaker screen size is 700x1250mm, the total screen area is 2.63m2. The max G force is 7.5G and it is adjustable for different applications. The shaker deck angle is adjustable from -1º to +5º by manual adjustment. Both of the 2 sides can be adjusted synchronously. 2 ea Italy Oli vibration motors 1.72kw drived the shale shaker and the starter is explosion proof for oil drilling rig.
The composite material frame shaker screens is proved to work 20% longer time than previous steel frame shaker screens, in some rig site, the working life is up to 700 hours with drilling fluids. It can be also used for oil sludge treatment to separate the coarse solids from the oil sludge, different mesh shaker screens can be installed on the shale shaker by different applications. For all the mesh over API 60 use 3 layers stainless steel wire mesh for steady performance.
The decanter centrifuge model is GNLW363CG with max speed 3900rpm, The normal speed is 3200rpm for low gravity solids removal, the client can replace 2700 rpm speed pulley for high gravity solids separation or 2200rpm speed pulley or 1800 rpm pulley for barite recovery. The centrifuge bowl material is duplex stainless steel 2205, the other components are made of SS316L for better corrosion resistant, the collection box is made of SS304 material. The screw impeller is protected by tungsten carbide tiles which is repairable once it is damaged.

Recently 4 sets of solids control equipments are ready for shipment to our client, this is the repeat order from the client, they will produce 4 sets of mud tank system locally to produce sea freight cost and import tax. The configuration is as below:


1) 4 sets of shale shaker with 3 panel shaker screens, each shale shaker with 2 no vibration motors. Each shaker installed with API 170 shaker screens
2) 4 sets of 7.5KW mud agitators
3) 36 pcs of composite material frame shaker screens, dimension is 700 x 1250mm
4) 4 sets of mixing venturi hopper with stainless steel material
5) 4 sets of mud gun
6) 2 sets of centrifugal pump as mixing pump


These 4 sets of mud tank system are used for workover rig drilling mud recycling. Each mud tank with 1 unit shale shaker, 1 unit mud agitator, 1 unit mud gun, 1 unit of venture mixing hopper, 1 unit of centrifugal pump as mixing pump to drive the mixing unit. The client produce the mud tank, tank accessories, pipelines, walkways, handrails, stairs, valves, etc.


Compared with oil drilling rig solids control system, the workover rig mud tank system normally with less equipment and do not have strict requirement for the solids removal from the drilling fluids. The common rig solids control system including 2 or 3 units of shale shaker, 1 unit of mud cleaner with 2 unit of centrifugal pumps, 1 unit vacuum degasser, 1 unit of decanter centrifuge for barite recovery, 1 unit of decanter centrifuge for low gravity solids removal. Several units of mud agitator, mud guns for agitating the drilling mud, several units of mixing hopper with mixing pump, several units of charging pump to feed the drilling fluids to mud pump.
