Recently GN solids control shipped one batch of shale shaker and decanter centrifuge for an international environmental protection company. The equipments model number is as below:

  1. Shale Shaker: GNZS594-HB, the 4 panel shaker screens with dimension 585x1165mm, which is made of composite material frame durable shaker screens. The vibration motor and starter are purchased from USA local company to meet the local explosion proof standard. The shale shaker is to separate coarse solids from the slurry/ sludge/ drilling fluids/ oil sludge.
  2. Mud Cleaner: GNZJ594-2S12N, the bottom shale shaker is a 4 panel shaker screen which is same with GNZS594-HB, combined with 2ea 10 inch desander cone and 12ea of 4 inch desilter cone. The mud cleaner is used after shale shaker, the desander cone separation cut point is 45 microns, the desilter cone cut point is 25 microns. Over 80% of the solids bigger than 25 microns will be separated out. If much finer solids still need to separate, decanter centrifuge can be used.
  3. Decanter Centrifuge: GNLW553-VFD, the separation cut point is 2~5 microns. The centrifuge bowl diameter is 22 inch, the bowl length is 71 inch (1800mm), the max G force is 2719G and the max speed is 3000rpm. The max gearbox torque is 12000 N.M. and gearbox ratio is 35:1. The differential speed is 0~45 rpm. And designed treating capacity is 500gpm. The decanter centrifuge is drived by VFD control panel, with world famous brand inverter of main motor, back drive motor and pump motor.
    The shale shaker, mud cleaner, decanter centrifuge are installed on the customized dimension mud tank, the discharged fluids dropped into the mud tank, the feeding pump ( centrifugal pump) transfer the treated fluids to desander cone and desilter cone, the clean fluids are transferred to decanter centrifuge by screw pump.

Customer status: CHINA PETROLEUM PIPELINE BUREAU China-Russia gas pipeline Trenchless Project. CPP is the largest petroleum pipeline engineering company in China and the largest contractor for the China-Russia gas pipeline project. Over 20 units of GN mud recycling system are working for CPP projects. And 5 of these HDD mud recycling system are used in the China-Russia gas pipeline project.
Project status: The 3,000-kilometre (1,850-mile) pipeline, which was the world’s largest construction project ,will supply China with 38 billion cubic meters (1.3 trillion cubic feet) of gas annually when fully operational in 2025. Russian leader Vladimir Putin and Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping hailed the “Power of Siberia” pipeline as a symbol of cooperation.

Customer status: Hong Kong Airport


Project status: HDD Trenchless mud cleaning and recycling for 5.2 KM Aviation fuel Pipeline installation. The mud recycling system specification including:
2 sets of 1500gpm mud recycling system, including 6 sets of GNZS703 Shale Shaker, 2 GNZJ703E-3S16N mud cleaner, 2 mud tanks, and centrifugal pumps and screw conveyor.
The working process of the mud cleaning system is : the submersible slurry pump feed the slurry to shale shaker, the coarse solids are separated out from shale shaker screens, the clean fluids dropped into shaker tank, the centrifugal pump feed the clean fluids to mud cleaner desander cone to separate solids bigger than 45 microns, the clean fluids dropped into desander compartment, the centrifugal pump 2 feed the clean fluids to desilter cone to separate solids bigger than 20 microns, the clean fluids are storage into the desilter tank.

This week GN solids control finished production of vacuum degasser and mud cleaner for clients in Middle East.


We have 3 types of degasser for oil & gas drilling industry, vacuum degasser, centrifugal degasser, mud gas separator. The mud gas separator is installed before the solids control system trip tank, to separate the hazardous gas from the drilling fluids and prevent it from kick off. The vacuum degasser and centrifugal degasser is used after shale shaker and behind desander, desilter or mud cleaner, the function is to separate the gas from the gas cut mud and protect the next process equipments like centrifugal pump, and keep the balance of the drilling fluids, their function is same, just vacuum pump is installed horizontally on the tank top, the centrifugal degasser is vertically installed in the mud tank , it can save space on the mud tank.


The mud cleaner produced by GN solids control is a combination of desander cone, desilter cone and bottom shale shaker. With different qty of hydrocylones, there are different treating capacity for option. The desander cone, desilter cone material are 100% polyurethane which is wear resistance material. The bottom shale shaker equipped with 4 panel shaker screens, with composite material frame for longer working life. Centrifugal pump #1feed the mud from degasser tank to desander cone, the clean fluids dropped into the desander compartment, the solids are separated out and drop down to bottom shale shaker, the useful fluids will be collected and the drier solids are separated out from shaker screens. Centrifugal pump #2 feed the mud from desander compartment to desilter cone, the clean fluids dropped into desilter compartment, which is clean fluids can be reused to prepare for new fluids or can be reused directly.

Recently GN solids control shipped several sets of mud cleaning system to our North America client, this is for their repeat orders for vacuum truck slurry/mud cleaning system. The technical configuration of the mud cleaning system is as below:


1) Slurry collection hopper which is installed on top of the slurry treatment system, in the previous design the slurry collection hopper is laying separately, considering the area limit at client’s working site, we put the slurry collection hopper on top of the mud cleaning tank to save space. There is discharge port under the collection hopper to feed directly to the 2 units of dual deck shale shaker.


2) The coarse solids separation tank including 2 units of dual deck shale shaker and 1 unit of mud agitator. The shaker screens installed is with coarse mesh size, so that coarse solids can be separated out in this process.
3) The fine solids separation tank including 1 unit of linear motion shale shaker with fine wire mesh to separate the fine solids from the slurry, the submersible slurry pump transfer the clean mud to the mud cleaner, the desilter cone separation cut point is 25 microns. The outter protection guard is desgined for HSE purpose according to client’s feedback.


4) The clean mud discharged from mud cleaner will be transferred to dewatering centrifuge system to separate ultra fine solids up to 1 microns. The dewatering centrifuge is a big bowl big volume decanter centrifuge with VFD control panel, to increase the separation efficiency and get drier discharged solids, chemical dosing system will be used before feeding to the dewatering centrifuge.
The discharged solids will be reused for construction industry, the recovered fluids can be also used in the process. For more information of the system, pls contact with GN solids sales.

Recently one batch of drilling fluids shale shakers are ready for shipment, they are for drilling rig solids control system to separate drilling cuttings from drilling fluids. The waste drilling cuttings will be collected by screw conveyor, and transfer to drilling cuttings treatment system.
The features of GN shale shakers:


1) Shaker deck bottom made of stainless steel 304, which is fluids touch part
2) Patent C tube rubber sealing for better sealing performance and prevent the cuttings from leakage
3) 2 ea of Itavibras / Italy Oil/ US Martin brand vibrator to provide high G force up to 7.5G, whichever is suitable.
4) High grade instructure steel material mounting skid of the shale shaker to provide high strength support
5) When tandem shale shaker and triple shale shaker is required, we will make a complete skid and possum belly for the 2 units and 3 units of shale shakers


6) Our normal shale shaker is linear motion shale shaker, when 2 vibration mode is required, we will make special dual motion shale shaker to meet the client’s requirement
7) Composite material frame shaker screens installed on the shale shaker with longer working life and better separation performance.
8) If required by the client, we can provide ViST unit to increase the separation performance of the drilling fluids, the vacuum hopper is installed under the last piece screen, the vacuum unit provide vacuum so that the drilling fluids can last longer time on the screens, so the discharged cuttings is much drier, and the fluids is much clean.
