Recently one unit of mud cleaning system for offshore platform is ready for shipment. Different with normal design drilling mud cleaning system for onshore drilling, the mud cleaning system for offshore is with different features, like compact design, convenient transportation, offshore lifting frame, explosion proof standard to meet offshore drilling requirement, painting and coating to meet offshore requirement for better corrosion resistance.


The technical configuration is as below:
1) One unit of linear motion shale shaker, the discharged solids are collected by buffer box and collected by screw conveyor, which can transfer the drilling waste to cuttings box. The shale shaker are installed on the mud tank with offshore standard lifting pad, it needs to be lifted to the offshore platform frequently, the safety should be assured. All the mud tank pipelines are layout outside for convenient maintenance and operation. All the valves, fittings, flanges are all oil resistance material for longer working life. The shale shaker equipped with 2 ea Italy Oil brand vibration motor, the shaker screens are produced comply with API RP13C standard, with 3 layers stainless steel material wire mesh, composite material frame for longer working life. The shaker screens fixing method is by wedges.


2) One unit of mud cleaner (desander, desilter and shale shaker 3 in 1), the desander cone and desilter cone are all made of 100% polyurethane material for longer working life. The bottom shale shaker is same model with the shale shaker, the shaker screens are with same dimension. The shaker deck bottom are made of stainless steel material for better corrosion resistance.
3) Centrifugal pump, the pump casing and impeller such wear parts are made of ductile hard alloy for longer working life, FAG brand bearing for reliable operation. We can get offshore lifting pad certificate as per client’s requirement.

Recently GN Solids Control shipped one set of solids control system to Papua New Guinea by air. Because the project is very urgently, the client can not bear the long sea freight time, so they decide to ship it by air by a big cargo airplane. After arrived at Papua New Guinea, the user need to ship the solids control system by Helicopter because of the rough road condition there.


The technical configuration of the heli lifted solids control system is as below:
(1)1 set of mud gas separator with skid, during transportation, it is laying down for easy transportation.
(2)2 sets of linear motion shale shaker with 3 panel screens, all the shaker screens installed on the shale shaker and mud cleaner are composite material frame shaker screens for longer working life and better separation performance.


(3)1 sets of mud cleaner( desander cone, desilter cone and bottom shale shaker 3 in 1), the treating capacity is 1000gpm, the desander cone qty is 2 ea, the desilter cone qty is 12 ea. 2 sets of centrifugal pump as feeding pump to feed drilling fluids for the desander and desilter. The centrifugal pump is interchangeable with world famous brand centrifugal pump, and the wear parts- pump case and impeller is made of hard ductile iron material for longer working life.


(4)1 set of trip tank with mud agitator and mud gun
(5)1 set of mixing tank with mixing hopper, mud agitator, mud gun ,the mud agitator is vertical installed mud agitator for space saving purpose and with higher efficiency.
(6)1 set of treatment tank equipped with shale shaker, mud clener
All the equipments are installed into the heli lifting frame for safety shipment and safety lifting by the helicopter.

The working process is as below:
The submersible slurry pump pick up the used drilling fluids from the waste pit to desilter with double deck shale shaker: the first phase is bottom deck shale shaker to separate coarse solids so that the drilling fluids can be feed to desilter cone properly. The centrifugal pump feed the clean drilling fluids to desilter cone to separate fine solids with cut point 2~5 microns, the clean drilling fluids drop down into the mud tank, the user can add powder chemicals into the venturi hopper, the mixing pump provide proper pressure to help mixing evenly. The clean fluids are ready for recycling in the mixing compartment. The mud agitator and mud gun are agitating the fluids to prevent the solids suspension in the tank bottom.


The technical configuration is as below:
1) 1 unit of GNZY753F-Y4N mud cleaner ( double deck shale shaker + desilter cone), all the shaker screen installed on the mud cleaner is composite material shaker screen, the desilter cone is 100% polyurethane material with better wear resistance material.
2) 1 unit of feeding pump
3) 1 unit of mixing pump
4) 1 unit of mixing hopper
5) 1 unit of 2 inch mud gun
6) 1 set of mud tank with tank accessories, with electrical control system and lightings
Another unit of 200gpm mud system under production for the same client, last year they purchased 3 sets of 600gpm mud system.

Last week we shipped one batch of centrifugal pump and decanter centrifuge to our Russia client, this is the repeat order from our client. The centrifugal pump is a multi function pump which can be widely used for oil and gas drilling solids control system and all the other solids and liquid separation system. In solids control system, centrifugal pump can be used as desander and desilter feeding pump, vacuum degasser jet pump, trip pump for trip tank, mixing pump, charging pump of mud pump, transfer pump.

1) The wear parts-impeller, pump casing is made of wear resistant material: hard ductile iron alloy,which is much stronger than grey steel, grey steel has been widely used by many other centrifugal pump manufacturers in China, it is important to know the materials to be used clearly.

The decanter centrifuge will be used to treat drilling fluids, to separate the fine solids from the drilling fluids and reused to prepare for new drilling fluids for recovery. The decanter centrifuge can be installed with different speed pulley for different application, when 2200rpm pulley is used, it can be used for barite recovery, when 3200rpm pulley is used, it will be used for low gravity solids separation.
The impeller of screw is protected by tungsten carbide tiles for longer working life and repairable, the bearing is made of SKF brand, the bowl material is made of duplex stainless steel 2304.

Recently we shipped one batch of mud agitators with control panel to Middle East client. The mud agitator is installed on top of the shaker tank to stir the drilling mud and prevent it from solids precipitation. These mud agitators are installed for liquid mud plant to mix and storage drilling fluids, the user can produce the mud tanks locally to save freight cost and importation cost. The control panel is installed besides the mud agitator for convenient operation, this is GN OEM control panel with our own explosion proof certificate.


The gear box and explosion proof motor is connected directly, this is compact design to be suitable for mud tank which have limit space to install the equipments. When the client need to install their own motor to match the local explosion proof class, we will provide gearbox connected with coupler, one side is connected with gearbox shaft, one side will be connected with the client’s motor, we only need to check the installation drawing of the motor in advance to confirm the suitability. Normally we install the mud agitator on the tank every 3 meters, this is not fixed, will be varies with different drilling fluids conditions.


The mud agitator will be controlled by the control panel installed on one end of mud tank, and ON/OFF SWITCH will be installed besides the mud agitator for convenient operation, the user can control the on/off/emergency stop of the mud agitator easily when it is necessary. The mud gun will be installed to work together for agitating the drilling fluids to prevent it from sediments.
