Fine Solids Removal: After primary separation equipment such as shale shakers, desanders, and desilters remove larger cuttings, the decanter centrifuge tackles the fine and ultra-fine solids that remain suspended in the drilling fluid.

Barite Recovery: Barite is an expensive weighting agent used to increase mud density. The decanter centrifuge can recover barite from drilling fluids, significantly reducing operating costs. By separating high gravity solids from low-gravity solids, the centrifuge enables operators to reuse valuable weighting materials.

Waste Volume Reduction: By removing solids from drilling fluids, the decanter centrifuge reduces the volume of waste requiring disposal.

Solids Control equipments ready for delivery

One batch of solids control equipments are ready for delivery for our international client, this is the third time repeat order from the same client. The solids control equipments purchased is for their solids control service contract. The equipments list including:
1. Decanter centrifuge, GN solids control can produce both fixed speed decanter centrifuge and VFD decanter centrifuge, the most popular model is 14 inch bowl decanter centrifuge. It can be used for both solids control drilling fluids treatment and drilling waste treatment system.


2. Vertical cutting dryer, it can be used for oil based drilling cuttings treatment, after treatment, the oil on the cuttings could be reach below 5%.
3. Screw pump, we have fixed speed screw pump and variable speed screw pump, it can be used as decanter centrifuge feeding pump and vertical cuttings dryer flushing pump.


4. Screw conveyor, we have fixed speed screw conveyor and variable speed screw conveyor, it can be used to collect the drilling cuttings from solids control shale shaker, and transfer to vertical cuttings dryer feeding port.
5. Vacuum pump, it can be used to transfer drilling waste cuttings, also it can be used to collect spilled drilling waste from the rig platform.
6. High G drying shaker, it can be used to treat water based drilling cuttings, and it can be used to reduce the solids content from the drilling waste, so the treating capacity of the decanter centrifuge can be improved.
All equipment has undergone factory acceptance testing (FAT) and is packed in export-grade, weatherproof packaging to ensure safe ocean freight transit. Delivery is scheduled for next week, with a company technician available for remote or on-site commissioning assistance as part of the service contract agreement.

GN Containerized Oil Sludge Treatment Plant for Africa Client

GN Solids Control has successfully supplied a fully containerized oil sludge treatment system to an African client. This compact, skid-mounted plant is designed to treat oily waste from crude oil tank cleaning, refinery ponds, and drilling operations. The system enables the recovery of valuable oil, recycles water, and significantly reduces solid waste volume—all while meeting stringent environmental standards.
The entire plant is integrated into standard shipping containers, making it ideal for Africa’s infrastructure conditions where ease of transport, rapid deployment, and relocation between sites are critical. The modular design also allows future expansion and simplified maintenance.


The system consists of four core modules:
(1) Pre-Mixing Tank Module
The pre-mixing tank module is the first step in the treatment process. Raw oil sludge often has high viscosity, high solids content, and poor fluidity. This module heats, dilutes, and conditions the sludge to create a homogeneous slurry suitable for downstream separation.


(2) Shale shaker Module
After pre mixing, the sludge still contains large debris, stones, and coarse sand. If these particles enter the centrifuge directly, they will cause accelerated wear and reduce separation efficiency. The vibrating screen module removes these oversized solids as a protective step.
(3) Three Phase Decanter Centrifuge Module
Including three phase decanter centrifuge, its feeding pump, fluids catching tank and skid. This is the core separation unit of the entire plant. The three phase decanter centrifuge simultaneously separates oil, water, and solids from the conditioned sludge using high centrifugal force. It is particularly suitable for oily sludge with wide fluctuations in oil content and complex compositions.


(4) Chemical Dosing Module
Effective chemical treatment is essential for breaking emulsions and enhancing separation efficiency. The chemical dosing module automatically prepares and injects flocculants, coagulants, and demulsifiers into the process stream.
