GN Decanter Centrifuge System for Africa Oilfield Waste Water Treatment

Recently one set of GN decanter centrifuge separation system are ready for shipment to Africa oilfield waste water treatment project. The system including mixing module, decanter centrifuge separation module, chemical dosing unit module, water recovery and transfer module.


The mixing module including mixing tank with mud agitator, to mix the oilfield waste water, the decanter centrifuge feeding pump will suck the water from the mixing tank to decanter centrifuge, at the same time, the chemical dosing unit will prepare the mixed chemicals and the screw pump will transfer the chemicals to centrifuge feed tube, so the decanter centrifuge can treat the waste water better, the treated water will flow to the water recovery tank and will be transferred to other tanks by the transfer pump.


The decanter centrifuge can separate the waste water into solids phase and liquid phase, GN also produce three phase decanter centrifuge, to separate the waster water into oil, water and solids. A three phase decanter centrifuge uses continuous high G centrifugal force to separate components based on density differential. The three-phase separation (solids, water, oil) happens because:
Solids (highest density) move to the bowl wall.
Water (middle density) forms an intermediate layer.
Oil (lowest density) forms an inner layer (if present in sufficient quantity).

GN decanter centrifuge features including:
1. The bowl and screw core shaft are made of duplex stainless steel SS2205 or SS2304 by centrifugal casting, which is superior to the performance of SS304 and SS316;
2. The solids outlet and liquid outlet are protected by replaceable hard alloy sleeve.
3. The main material of the screw is duplex stainless steel SS2205 or SS2304.
4. The screw propeller is protected by tungsten carbide tiles for longer working life.

GN Drilling Cuttings Treatment Equipment for Middle East Customer

One batch of GN drilling cuttings treatment equipments are ready for delivery to Middle East customer, including 3 sets of high G drying shaker GNZS594K and 2 sets of vertical cuttings dryer GNCD930G.
What is the difference of high G drying shaker with vertical cuttings dryer?
1. Application difference: The high G drying shaker is normally used to treat water based drilling cuttings, the vertical cuttings dryer is normally used to treat oil based mud/ drilling cuttings.


2. Working principal difference: High G drying shaker ( also called as high G dryer) is high vibration G force shale shaker with fine mesh shaker screens. It is drived by 2ea vibration motors, the shaker screen is 4 pcs of 585x1165mm composite material frame shaker screens. When the water based drilling cuttings are feed to high G dryer buffer tank, the massive G force immediately pins solids against the fine screen mesh ( as fine as 200 mesh/74 microns).Liquid passes through the screen and is recovered, while dry solids are conveyed and out by augers.


Vertical cuttings dryer ( also called as verti-G dryer), when the OBM or SOBM wet cuttings are feed to verti G dryer feeding port by screw conveyor, A stainless steel screen basket traps wet solids and accelerates it up to 900rpm with up to 420G, the liquid is forced through screen openings, the dry solids are extracted by the angled flights attached to the rotor, which rotate slightly slower than the screen. The tungsten carbide protect the flights from abrasive solids and ensures longer operation life.
3. Treatment result is different.
The high G drying shaker can dry the WBM drilling cuttings with moisture less than 30% ~ 40%, the vertical cuttiings dryer can dry the SOBM drilling cuttings with OOC <5%, which can be sent to Thermal Desorption Unit for further treatment.

One set of drilling mud centrifuge package including 1 unit of decanter centrifuge, telescopic skid and 1ea decanter centrifuge feeding pump. GNLW363D decanter centrifuge is the most popular high speed decanter centrifuge used for drilling mud treatment and drilling cuttings treatment. The bowl diameter is 14 inch, the bowl length is 50 inch, the designed treating capacity is 200gpm, and typical capacity is 132 gpm. The max bowl speed is 3900rpm, and typical bowl speed is 3200rpm. The max G force is 3063G, typical G force is 2062G. The separation cut point is 2 ~5 microns.

One set of vertical cuttings dryer package including 1 unit of vertical cuttings dryer, cuttings dryer skid, flushing pump and solids discharge system. The most popular vertical cuttings dryer model is GNCD930G, the treating capacity is 30 ~50 tons per hour. For the oil based drilling cuttings fresh collected from primary solids control shale shaker, the treated oil content in the cuttings is less than 5%. If the client needs less oil content in the cuttings, the solids discharged can be sent to Thermal Desorption Unit. The screen diameter is 930mm, we have 0.25mm, 0.35mm, 0.5mm three type screen opening for option. The rotation speed is 900rpm, G force is 420G, oil tank capacity is 48L. The main motor is 55KW, the oil pump motor 0.55KW.The standard vertical cuttings dryer with solids discharge collection hopper, as client’s requirement, GN designed customized solids discharge system with vibration motor for faster solids discharge.

2 Sets GNOST-15 Oil Sludge Treatment System for Asia Customer

Recently 2 sets of GNOST-15 Oil Sludge Treatment System are ready for shipment to Asia customer. Each set of GNOST-15 Oil Sludge Treatment System including the components as below:


1. Feeding pump module, to pick up the oil sludge from waste pit and transfer to pre-mixing tank
2. Pre-mixing tank module, the function is to diluting, washing, heating and mixing of the oil sludge, so that the solids can be separated from the liquids in the further process of shale shaker, decanter centrifuge and three phase decanter centrifuge.


3. Coarse shale shaker separation module, to separate the coarse solids and reduce the solids content of the oil sludge, to protect the further decanter centrifuge, if the solids content is very high, the decanter centrifuge screw will be damaged and blocked easily.
4. GNLW-554 two phase decanter centrifuge module, the fine solids can be separated out from the decanter centrifuge by adding chemicals by chemical dosing unit
5. GNLWS-554 three phase separation decanter centrifuge module, to separate the fine solids, water and oil. The recovered oil can be reused or to be sold, the water can be reused in the circulation system or sent to waste water treatment facility, the solids discharged from shale shaker, two phase decanter centrifuge and three phase decanter centrifuge will be collected and sent to TDU for final treatment.


6. Chemical dosing unit module, to add chemicals in pre-mixing tank and 2 phase decanter centrifuge to improve the separation efficiency
7. Steam generator module, to provide hot steam to pre-mixing tank heating line , shale shaker separation tank module heating line, two phase decanter centrifuge tank heating line. There are electrical driven steam generator and diesel driven steam generator for option.
