Recently one batch of solids vacuum pump are shipped to offshore drilling platform, it can be used to transfer drilling cuttings ( drilling waste), clean the cabin, clean the drilling platform, clean the mud tank, etc. It is an ideal equipment to transfer slurry with high content solids, high density, high viscosity.


We have 3 models of solids vacuum pump with nominal transfer rate of 40m3/h, 20m3/h, 10m3/h, the capacity will be varied for different material. For the max model GNSP-40B vacuum pump, the max suction distance is 50, the max discharge distance is 1000m, and max transfer solids content is 80%, the max allowed solids size is 75mm. The user need to prepare a air compressor for air supply to the vacuum pump, the air demand is 17m3/min. There are 2 mode for option, automatic and manual, for normal condition, automatic option will be selected, for special material and special working condition, the user can choose manual operation.
The smaller size vacuum pump is compact design and moveable design. The max solids size is 50mm, the max discharge distance is 500m, and air demand is 8m3/min and 4.2 m3/min.
Except for solids vacuum pump, we also provide other types transfer pump, like centrifugal pump, submersible slurry pump, shear pump, screw pump, etc. Compared with these pumps, the vacuum pump’s design is more compact, no need to use electricity, less power consumption, can transfer longer distance. Especially for offshore drilling platform, electricity power is limited to be used, vacuum pump is an ideal way to transfer drilling cuttings compared with screw conveyor and other types pump, just the user need to do small changes on the design to make it suitable for offshore drilling platform application.

The vertical cuttings dryer and decanter centrifuge is the major equipment of zero discharge system for oil based drilling cuttings treatment. The working process is as below:
The screw conveyor collect the oil based drilling cuttings from the shale shaker of solids control system and discharged to 2# screw conveyor, the 2# screw conveyor is installed slantly and transfer to vertical cuttings dryer top open feeding port. The vertical cuttings dryer dry the drilled solids from oil based cuttings by centrifugal force. The screen basket traps the fluids and accelebrates them up 900rpm and G force is up to 420G. The fluids is discharged from the liquid discharged port and flow to intermediate tank, the feed pump transfer the liquids to decanter centrifuge to separate fine solids, the cut point is 2~5 microns. The clean fluids is recovered by the catch tank or connect the pipeline back to solids control system for reuse.


VFD decanter centrifuge should be applied for drilling waste management system, which with 3 motor frequency VFD, main motor, back drive motor, pump motor. We use ABB brand inverter for easy outsourcing when need to be replaced, all the other electrical components are also with ABB, Siemens, Schneider with good quality. Our VFD control panel is positive pressurized VFD control panel with PLC smart control and HMI interface. The screw pump as centrifuge feeding pump flow rate can be adjusted by changing the motor speed.
We also produce complete drilling waste management system with our standard compact design, for cold area, we can install the system inside the container.

It is 100% air operation pump without electricity power supply, it is ideal equipment to work in the electricity limit area. The air compressor is required to provide air supply for the vacuum pump operation. Centrifugal pump is interchangeable with world famous brand centrifugal pump installation and parts, it can be used as mixing pump, feeding pump of desander, desilter, trip pump, super charging pump, transfer pump of oil sludge. Screw pump is normally as feeding pump of decanter centrifuge and flushing pump of vertical cuttings dryer.

This week GN solids control shipped 2 units of Large Bowl 30 inch GNLW764A Decanter Centrifuge for Mining Industry to Australia, this is the largest centrifuge model we have made right now, we have 9 inch, 14 inch, 18 inch, 22 inch and 30 inch bowl decanter centrifuge with different treating capacity, different speed, different G force for various applications.


The diameter of the centrifuge bowl is 760mm, the bowl length is 3328mm, the treating capacity is 528gpm, max bowl speed is 2650rpm, typical bowl speed is 2200rpm, max G force up to 3000G, typical G force is 2060G. The main power is 160KW, back drive motor is 90KW, the gearbox Torch is 25000.N.M.


Same with the smaller decanter centrifuge, the screw propeller protection is tungsten carbide tiles, the bowl fluids distribution port and solids discharge port is protected tungsten alloy for longer working life, the bowl material is made of duplex stainless steel 2304 for anti corrosion.


The bearing for this big bowl centrifuge is very big, need separate lubrication system for better lubrication to extend the working life of the bearings. The plate type heating exchanging system can effectively cool down the lubrication oil so that to get a better cooling performance and the temperature sensor installed on the bearing seat will send signal to the PLC to trip off the centrifuge in case of over high temperature.
