Recently GN solids control shipped one batch of telescopic skid vertical cuttings dryer and decanter centrifuge to an International oilfield service company. This is their repeat order, this client have over 30 units decanter centrifuges and 10 units of vertical cuttings dryer at their rig site for drilling waste management project. Especially in the tough period this year, the economy is going down, oil prices are falling, demand for petroleum products is decreasing, and the oil industry is in a slump, we got the continuous support from our old clients, their trust and repeat order help us a lot, and GN always try to supply the best quality, best delivery time, best after-sales service and spare parts support and the most economic solution. We have standard design of drilling waste management system package GNCM-40A, which is widely used for oil based drilling cuttings treatment in the world, it consists of vertical cuttings dryer with flushing pump ( screw pump), VFD decanter centrifuge with feeding pump ( screw pump or submersible slurry pump), intermediate tank to receive the fluids discharged from vertical G dryer, telescopic skid for vertical G dryer, telescopic skid for decanter centrifuge, pipelines, tank accessories and tank skid, all of the items are installed on one package for convenient transportation, the design treating capacity is 40 m3/h. We also provide customized design as per client’s requirement.


This customer need the decanter centrifuge and vertical cuttings dryer one 2 separate telescopic skid, by this way, they can use the equipments flexible for different rigs, and they can make the rest accessories locally to save cost. During transportation, the skid height will be down to meet the transportation limit, and during operation, they will be lifted up for archive better separation result.

Recently GN solids control shipped one batch of shale shaker and decanter centrifuge for an international environmental protection company. The equipments model number is as below:

  1. Shale Shaker: GNZS594-HB, the 4 panel shaker screens with dimension 585x1165mm, which is made of composite material frame durable shaker screens. The vibration motor and starter are purchased from USA local company to meet the local explosion proof standard. The shale shaker is to separate coarse solids from the slurry/ sludge/ drilling fluids/ oil sludge.
  2. Mud Cleaner: GNZJ594-2S12N, the bottom shale shaker is a 4 panel shaker screen which is same with GNZS594-HB, combined with 2ea 10 inch desander cone and 12ea of 4 inch desilter cone. The mud cleaner is used after shale shaker, the desander cone separation cut point is 45 microns, the desilter cone cut point is 25 microns. Over 80% of the solids bigger than 25 microns will be separated out. If much finer solids still need to separate, decanter centrifuge can be used.
  3. Decanter Centrifuge: GNLW553-VFD, the separation cut point is 2~5 microns. The centrifuge bowl diameter is 22 inch, the bowl length is 71 inch (1800mm), the max G force is 2719G and the max speed is 3000rpm. The max gearbox torque is 12000 N.M. and gearbox ratio is 35:1. The differential speed is 0~45 rpm. And designed treating capacity is 500gpm. The decanter centrifuge is drived by VFD control panel, with world famous brand inverter of main motor, back drive motor and pump motor.
    The shale shaker, mud cleaner, decanter centrifuge are installed on the customized dimension mud tank, the discharged fluids dropped into the mud tank, the feeding pump ( centrifugal pump) transfer the treated fluids to desander cone and desilter cone, the clean fluids are transferred to decanter centrifuge by screw pump.

Recently GN solids control shipped one batch of pitless drilling waste management equipments for International oilfield service company, including high G drying shaker package, sludge vacuum pump, cuttings dryer.


The vacuum pump is 100% air operated pump to transfer drilling waste from waste pit to vertical cuttings dryer ( for OBM & SOBM drilling waste) and high G drying shaker modular ( for WBM drilling waste). No need electricity power, it is suitable for hazardous area application. The suction horizontal distance is up to 50m, discharge distance is up to 500 ~1000m. The max solids size to be transferred is up to 50 ~ 75mm based on different model, and the max solids content is up to 80%. There are 2 operation mode for option, automatically and manually working, the user can choose different operation mode for easy operation. The compact design structure is for easily installation and movement.


The high G drying shaker is normally used for water based mud drilling waste treatment project, the max G force is up to 8.0G so that the discharged solids will be much drier for easy disposal. The clean fluids drop down into the mud tank, the centrifuge feeding pump can transfer the clean fluids to decanter centrifuge for further treatment.


The vertical cuttings dryer is widely used to treat the oil based mud drilling waste management project, we have 2 models of vertical G dryer for option, GNCD930E with treating capacity 40 tons/ hour, which is the best sold model for standard drilling waste management system. The discharged solids with oil content on the cuttings is below 5%, it can be landfilled or disposal directly once it can meet the environmental protection regulations in the client’s country. The discharged fluids flow to a buffer tank, the clean fluids can be transferred by centrifuge feeding pump to decanter centrifuge for further treatment.

Recently GN solids control shipped one batch of high speed decanter centrifuge for Russia Company for drilling fluids treatment. This is a repeat order for the same client for same application. The high speed decanter centrifuge model number is GNLW363CG, which is the best sold model among all the centrifuge models. The bowl size is 360mm, 14 inch bowl, the bowl length is 1270mm, 50inch. The max speed is 3900 rpm, the normal rotation speed is 3200 rpm, the max G force is 3063G, the typical G force is 2062G. The cuttings separation cut point is 2~5 microns, differential speed 40 rpm, the gearbox torque is 3500N.M, gearbox ratio is 57:1, the max capacity is 200gpm, the typical capacity for drilling fluids is 132gpm. The total power consumption is main motor 37KW, back drive motor 11KW, the pump motor is 7.5KW, we can provide different option of explosion proof motor and control panel as per client’s requirement.


The high speed decanter centrifuge can be installed on the mud tank with 4 legs or can be lay on the telescopic skid for better separation result, we can provide customized design for centrifuge mud tank and telescopic skid. The solids discharge trough can be customized or to be made locally to meet jobsite’s requirement.

Recently we shipped one set of dewatering centrifuge with chemical dosing system to Singapore for TBM project. They bought one set of TBM desander unit model number GNMS-1000D before, which is our economic configuration mud cleaning unit for TBM slurry.
The technical specs are as below: Double deck shale shaker with 2 ea of 10 inch desander unit installed on a compact size mud tank with stairs, centrifugal pump feed the slurry to desander cone.
The working process is as below: the submersible slurry pump transfer the slurry to bottom shale shaker to separate coarse solids from the slurry, the fluids dropped into the mud tank, the centrifugal pump feed the clean fluids to desander cone, the clean fluids discharged from outlet pipe and flow to storage tank for reuse or further treatment. The separation cut point is 45 microns. The discharged solids dropped down to top layer shaker screen to recycle more useful fluids.
The dewatering decanter centrifuge model number is GNLW553-VFD,the bowl diameter is 550mm, the bowl length is 1800mm, the max capacity is 500gpm, and typical capacity is 400gpm, when adding flocculants, the treating capacity will be smaller based on different materials. The main motor is 90KW, the back drive motor is 37KW, the differential speed is 0 ~ 45 rpm, gearbox torque is 12000 N.m., the typical speed is 0 ~2500 rpm, the typical G force is 0 ~1888G.
Since the slurry desander unit separation cut point is 45 microns, it can not be reused directly, the dewatering centrifuge with flocculants can separate fine solids from the slurry up to 1 microns, the recovery water is clean and can be reused for TBM project to save cost for the client. The discharged solids with less moisture can be collected by bag and ship out by truck conveniently.
