The working principal is as below:
The bowl and screw rotate to the same direction with a certain differential speed. The waste water is feed into the screw shaft continuously , under the working of centrifugal force, heavy phase solids is tossed to the bowl wall as sediment layer, which will be pushed to the cone section of the bowl and discharged from the slag outlet. The light liquid phase forms an inner liquid ring, the liquids will flow out from the liquid output at the big end of the bowl. The bowl straight section is the clarification area, the bowl cone section is the drying area.


Except for the T series dewatering decanter centrifuge, GN also produce D series drilling fluids and drilling waste treatment decanter centrifuge, the T series dewatering centrifuge with 8.5 beach angle degree, such design allows the centrifuge bowl with longer cone section, the drying and dewatering area is longer, so the discharged solids cake is drier. Accordingly, the liquids discharge capacity is reduced. With chemical dosing unit by adding proper chemicals, the discharged solids is drier and discharged water is much clear.

The Fifth Generation Decanter Centrifuge for Overseas Waste water treatment project

Recently 2 units of 5th generation decanter centrifuge are ready for shipment for overseas waste water treatment project, the model number is GNLW454ET-VFD.
The configuration is as below:

  1. The material to be treated: Municipal sewage treatment, solid content is 2 ~ 3%. Treatment capacity is 30 ~ 40 cubic meters per hour
  2. The main motor is 45KW, the back drive motor is 15KW
  3. Material :the bowl material is made of duplex stainless steel SS2205, the screw is also made of duplex stainless steel SS2205, the collection box is made of SS304, the skid is made of carbon steel.

The screw distribution port is protected by tungsten carbide alloy insert, the solids discharge port is protected by tungsten carbide alloy, the inner bowl is with welding ribs, the bowl solids discharge port is protected by tungsten carbide scraper, the screw propeller is protected by tungsten carbide tiles.

  7. Decanter centrifuge discharge trough: there is a closed rectangular box discharge trough to connect the decanter centrifuge collection box solids discharge port and screw conveyor inlet port, the size of inlet port and outlet port is same, the height is 500mm.
  8. The centrifuge bowl diameter is 18 inch ( 450mm) , the bowl length is 74.5 inch (1890mm), the length over diameter ratio is 4:1
    The decanter centrifuge can be installed on top of mud tank or telescopic skid to remove low gravity solids from waste water, by adding proper chemicals, the separation result could be better. The treating capacity will be varied according to different material.

Dual deck shale shaker operation

As one of the solids control and drilling waste treatment shale shaker manufacturer in China, GN solids control can produce both linear motion and elliptical motion double deck shale shaker. The technical specs is as below:


Vibration motor: 2ea of 1.94KW vibration motor, Italy Oli/ Itavibras / US Martin, the explosion proof standard could be CNEX, ATEX, IEC EX according to different requirement
Vibration G force is adjustable up to 7.1G
6pcs of composite material frame shaker screens are installed on the double deck shale shaker, top layer 3pcs, bottom layer 3pcs, top layer screen area is 2.03m2, bottom layer screen area is 2.63m2. The shaker deck angle can be adjusted from -1° to +5°.
How to select to use linear motion or elliptical motion shale shaker? Normally linear motion is applied to 1st and 2nd drilling phase, elliptical motion is applied to 3rd and 4th drilling phase, it varies according to the drilling depth. The main features of linear motion shale shaker is high G force, higher treating capacity when used same mesh shaker screen, large throw angle, it is suitable for low viscosity drilling fluids, high solids content, coarse solids size, hard drilling cuttings, higher flow rate. The features of elliptical motion shale shaker, lower G force, lower treating capacity, longer time stay on shaker screen, drilling cuttings are not easily broken, which is suitable for easy broken drilling cuttings.


When double deck shale shaker is used to treat oil sludge, water spray system will be installed to avoid screen blocking by the high viscosity oil sludge, top sealing cover will be installed to prevent it from splashing.
Compact design will lead the shaker screen replacement difficult, to reduce the screen replacement is very important, the composite material frame shaker screen can last longer time compared with metal frame shaker screen.

ViST Vacuum Screen

Shale shaker and Shaker screen, the shale shaker is a 4 panel screen linear motion shale shaker, installed with shaker screen 585x1165mm, the total screen area is 2.73m2, the max G force is up to 7.6G, which is adjustable by adjusting the vibration motor Eccentric block. The shaker deck angle is reliable mechanical adjusting system and both sides can be adjusted simultaneously. The last panel shaker screen closed to solids discharged side is installed a ViST vacuum screen unit, the purpose is to reduce drilling waste and recycle drilling fluids, a suction hose is connected to ViST vacuum unit.

The compressed air from air compressor is required to create suction on the last screen surface, pulling additional fluids off the cuttings. It can reduce the liquid on the cuttings by 30-50%. The main components of the ViST vacuum unit consists of vacuum unit, catch pan, air supply inlet, shaker inlet, display screen, etc.


The sludge vacuum pump can be widely used to transfer drilling waste, drilling mud, hazardous waste, oil sludge, animal waste, sand, crude oil tank bottom cleaning sludge, and other industrial waste. Compare with other types electrical driven transfer pump, the vacuum pump is 100% air operated, no need electric power, it is suitable for hazardous area application, especially for refinery oil tank cleaning, the vacuum pump can be put into oil tank bottom to transfer the oil sludge out of the tank and send to oil sludge separation system .

Multi-Point Discharge Screw Conveyor for Container Loading

The screw conveyor is designed to transport drilling waste from one place to another place safely and efficiently. There are many methods to transfer the drilling waste, but screw conveyor is a relatively economic and proven method among them. The benefits to use a screw conveyor is that low power consumption, continuous working which will reduce the requirement for collection tanks, require less operator to save labor cost, flexible to adjust the dimension for different transfer capacity. The scroll are made of wear-resistant and thicker manganese steel. the scroll can also be sprayed with wear-resistant coating to prolong the service life, the pull-wire switch can be installed on the conveyor to realize safety protection

The working principal of the screw conveyor is as below:
A scroll (also named auger) is rotated inside a trough driven by an explosion proof motor, when the drilling cuttings are fed into the inlet port of the screw conveyor and transferred along by the rotating scroll. The scroll is sealing inside the trough by a hinged metal lid/cover for safety.
The screw conveyor discharge port can be customized according to client’s requirement. The cuttings collection box can be installed under the discharge port for safe storage, or the high G drying shaker waste collection hopper, or the open top feeding port of the vertical cuttings dryer. The screw conveyor screw diameter and screw length can be customized as per transfer capacity and transfer distance requirement. the screw diameter could be 10 inch, 12 inch, 14 inch, 18 inch and the screw length could be 12ft, 24 ft, 36 ft, 48ft, each section is 12ft and you can select 2 section, 3 section, 4 section.
