Recently we shipped one unit of containerized chemical dosing system for dewatering centrifuge to our client in Africa, this is repeat order from one of our old client. The technical configuration is as below:

The three tank automatical powder polymer mixing system, including 3 compartment tank, auger conveyor, hopper, 3 sets agitator, level meter, solenoid valve, piping system, flow meter and PLC control system for automatic continuous operation, 2 sets of chemical dosing pump, 2 sets safety valve, pressure gauge and pump holder, etc.
Coagulant mixing tank including agitator, level meter, 2 sets of chemical dosing pump, safety valve, pressure gauge, pump holder, etc.
All of these above items are installed inside 20ft container, with windows, doors, lightings and air conditioner.

The dewatering unit worked with dewatering centrifuge, as one of professional decanter centrifuge manufacturer in China, GN solids control produce various size decanter centrifuge from 9 inch bowl, 14 inch bowl, 18 inch bowl, 22 inch bowl, 30 inch bowl, with different bowl length for different applications. The client already purchased the dewatering centrifuge before, when the treated fluids/ mud will be recovery for reuse, only mechanical separation will be enough, cause the decanter centrifuge cut point is 2~ 5 microns, which can separate most of the fine solids from the mud/drilling waste. When the drilling project is finished and the purpose is to get pure water and final disposal, we need to use dewatering unit ( into the container) to get the ultra fine solids to be accumulated into the particles which can be treated by decanter centrifuge. The discharged water remained solids only below 1 microns, most of the solids can be separated out, the discharged solids is dry enough to be collected by waste truck.

Recently we shipped one set of dewatering centrifuge with chemical dosing system to Singapore for TBM project. They bought one set of TBM desander unit model number GNMS-1000D before, which is our economic configuration mud cleaning unit for TBM slurry.
The technical specs are as below: Double deck shale shaker with 2 ea of 10 inch desander unit installed on a compact size mud tank with stairs, centrifugal pump feed the slurry to desander cone.
The working process is as below: the submersible slurry pump transfer the slurry to bottom shale shaker to separate coarse solids from the slurry, the fluids dropped into the mud tank, the centrifugal pump feed the clean fluids to desander cone, the clean fluids discharged from outlet pipe and flow to storage tank for reuse or further treatment. The separation cut point is 45 microns. The discharged solids dropped down to top layer shaker screen to recycle more useful fluids.
The dewatering decanter centrifuge model number is GNLW553-VFD,the bowl diameter is 550mm, the bowl length is 1800mm, the max capacity is 500gpm, and typical capacity is 400gpm, when adding flocculants, the treating capacity will be smaller based on different materials. The main motor is 90KW, the back drive motor is 37KW, the differential speed is 0 ~ 45 rpm, gearbox torque is 12000 N.m., the typical speed is 0 ~2500 rpm, the typical G force is 0 ~1888G.
Since the slurry desander unit separation cut point is 45 microns, it can not be reused directly, the dewatering centrifuge with flocculants can separate fine solids from the slurry up to 1 microns, the recovery water is clean and can be reused for TBM project to save cost for the client. The discharged solids with less moisture can be collected by bag and ship out by truck conveniently.

A basic TBM slurry separation unit including: coarse solids separation shaker, double deck shale shaker with hydrocyclones, feeding pump ( for desander cone and desilter cone), fluids collection mud tank with tank accessories.

The coarse solids shaker is used to separate the big solids, stones, sands and other big mass from the slurry and protect the equipments in the next process. The shaker screens to be used is a type of slot screen instead of woven screen, which is more wear resistance in separation of coarse solids.
The mud cleaner is a combination of desander cone, desilter cone and double deck bottom shale shaker, 2 feeding pump transfer the slurry to desander cone, desilter cone separately. The desander cone cut point is 45 microns, the desilter cone cut point is 25 microns, both of the desander cone and desilter cone are made of 100% polyurethane material. Compared with single deck bottom shale shaker, the double deck shale shaker can separate the discharged solids much drier, so that the users can collect the discharged solids easily by trucks.
The mud tank to collect the slurry will storage the slurry temporarily and after the final treatment of desilter cone, the clean fluids will be reused to keep the TBM project working well.

Recently GN solids control shipped several sets of mud cleaning system to our North America client, this is for their repeat orders for vacuum truck slurry/mud cleaning system. The technical configuration of the mud cleaning system is as below:

1) Slurry collection hopper which is installed on top of the slurry treatment system, in the previous design the slurry collection hopper is laying separately, considering the area limit at client’s working site, we put the slurry collection hopper on top of the mud cleaning tank to save space. There is discharge port under the collection hopper to feed directly to the 2 units of dual deck shale shaker.

2) The coarse solids separation tank including 2 units of dual deck shale shaker and 1 unit of mud agitator. The shaker screens installed is with coarse mesh size, so that coarse solids can be separated out in this process.
3) The fine solids separation tank including 1 unit of linear motion shale shaker with fine wire mesh to separate the fine solids from the slurry, the submersible slurry pump transfer the clean mud to the mud cleaner, the desilter cone separation cut point is 25 microns. The outter protection guard is desgined for HSE purpose according to client’s feedback.

4) The clean mud discharged from mud cleaner will be transferred to dewatering centrifuge system to separate ultra fine solids up to 1 microns. The dewatering centrifuge is a big bowl big volume decanter centrifuge with VFD control panel, to increase the separation efficiency and get drier discharged solids, chemical dosing system will be used before feeding to the dewatering centrifuge.
The discharged solids will be reused for construction industry, the recovered fluids can be also used in the process. For more information of the system, pls contact with GN solids sales.

The technical specifications are as below:
1) 1 unit of GN dewatering decanter centrifuge laying into the 20ft container, the max speed is up to 3900rpm, the normal operation speed is 3200rpm, with separation cut point by mechanical separation is 2~5 microns. The max G force is up to 3063G, the normal G force is 2062 G, the bowl is made of duplex stainless steel 2205, the screw is made of stainless steel 304. The fluids distribution port and solids discharge port is made of tungsten carbide inserts and it is replaceable. The screw impeller is protected by tungsten carbide tiles for longer operation time.

2) The chemical dosing system installed into a 20ft container, including 3 compartment tank with chemical feeding hopper, agitator, piping system and bracket, PLC control panel and chemical dosing pump. Normally flocculants will be added by the chemical dosing system to the decanter centrifuge feed pipe, so that the ultra fine solids will be accumulated to bigger size solids, the decanter centrifuge can separate them easily, it will increase the separation performance of the high speed decanter centrifuge.

3) The container equipped with doors, windows, air conditioner, lightings, etc. accessories for customer’s requirement. The 2 container design is customized design, usually we will put everything into a 40ft container for convenient transportation or without container as per client’s option.
