This week GN solids control shipped one batch of solids control centrifuges for drilling mud treatment to Russia.
The decanter centrifuge model is GNLW363CG, which is the best sold model and the most popular model. The technical specification is as below:

Bowl diameter: 360mm ( 14 inch)
Bowl length: 1270mm (50 inch)
Design capacity is 200gpm, the normal capacity for drilling mud treatment is 132 gpm. The max bowl speed is 3900 rpm, the typical bowl speed is 3200 rpm, max G force is 3063G, typical G force is 2062 G, the separation cut point is 2 ~5 microns, by adding flocculants, the separation cut point is up to 1 microns. The differential speed is 38 rpm for high speed decanter centrifuge, for variable frequency drive decanter centrifuge, the differential speed is 0~45 rpm. The gearbox ratio is 57:1, main motor power is 50 HP, the back drive motor power is 15HP, the matching pump motor power is 11HP. For different material conditions, the actual treating capacity will be various.

The universal features of GN decanter centrifuge:
1) The bowl assembly is made of duplex stainless steel 2205, which lasts longer than SS304 & SS316L , the other bowl components are made of stainless steel 316L.
2) The screw is made of stainless steel by centrifugal casting, the open impeller design increase the treating capacity and improve the performance.
3) The fluids distribution port and solids discharge port are all protected by tungdten carbide alloy and it is replaceable.
4) The screw propeller is protected by tungsten carbide tiles, which is abrasion resistance material , and once damaged, the tiles can be replaceable.
5) The bearings are SKF brand which can last long time.
6) The main motor, and back drive motor are installed in one side for convenient operation and compact design.

Recently GN solids control shipped mini decanter centrifuge of solids liquid separation to South America clients. The mini decanter centrifuge can be widely used for the applications as: waste water treatment, diamond core drilling slurry treatment, and other solids liquid separation project. We have 2 different models of mini decanter centrifuge for option, the technical specification is as below:

GNLW223D, the bowl diameter is 9 inch, bowl length is 26.4 inch, max speed is 4500rpm, normally we use 3800rpm to archive 1777G, the separation cut point is 2 ~5 microns, gearbox torch is 500N·M, this decanter centrifuge is normally used for core drilling solids removal unit, the SRU including mini shale shaker , mini decanter centrifuge ,feeding pump, transfer pump, mixing hopper, mixing pump, mud tank, slurry collection pump and pipelines. It can treat the slurry and recovery water, the client can save water consumption and save drilling cost.
It can be also used for oil sludge separation system, GN compact design oil sludge treatment unit is a 1m3/h oil sludge treatment system, including mini decanter centrifuge, 2 panel shale shaker, pre-mixing tank, oil sludge collection tank, centrifuge feeding pump, disc centrifuge, butter tank, oil storage tank, water storage tank, chemical dosing unit.

GNLW224EP-VFD, with same diameter bowl 9 inch, the bowl length is 36.4 inch, max speed is 5000rpm, the normal speed is 0~4500rpm, the max G force is 3077G, typical G force is 2492G, the gearbox ratio is 95:1, gearbox torch is 1400N.M, this model centrifuge with longer bowl length, and higher G force, it is suitable for waste water treatment, by working with flocculants, the decanter centrifuge can separate the ultra-fine solids from the waste water, so that it is qualified to be treated by chemicals in the next process.

Recently GN solids control shipped another set of decanter centrifuge for oil sludge treatment to Brunei. The oil sludge treatment equipments in this project including：

1． Shale shaker: the function is to separate coarse solids from the oil sludge, the discharged solids can be collected by waste container, the fluids can be feed to decanter centrifuge by screw pump for further treatment. If the user do not want to use coarse solids shale shaker, they can use a filter instead, but the coarse solids content should be very small.
2． Decanter centrifuge: The decanter centrifuge is to separate fine solids from the oil sludge, the cut point is 2~5 microns, by working with chemical dosing unit, the centrifuge separation performance could be improved.
3． Chemical dosing unit: the chemical can be added in pre-mixing process, decanter centrifuge process, disc centrifuge process( for oil water separation). Proper chemicals will improve the separation result. The user can do a laboratory test to choose correct type chemical.

4． Mud tank: Including pre-mixing tank( if applicable, some clients do not have this process, but they need to ensure proper chemical jetting and mixing for the original oil sludge with proper solids content, density, viscosity), shale shaker tank, decanter centrifuge tank, buffer tank for oil and water, etc.
The client do not buy the complete oil sludge treatment system, only part of the equipments. Vacuum pump is widely used to pick up oil sludge from waste pit. It can be also used to transfer drilling cuttings, waste oil, dredging slurry, oil contaminated soil, sand, industrial waste water, etc. materials.
The vertical centrifuge is used to separate oil, water and solids, the recovery oil and water will be storaged in the buffer tank , then flow to the storage tank automatically. For more information, pls contact with GN solids control.

This week GN solids control finished production of vacuum degasser and mud cleaner for clients in Middle East.

We have 3 types of degasser for oil & gas drilling industry, vacuum degasser, centrifugal degasser, mud gas separator. The mud gas separator is installed before the solids control system trip tank, to separate the hazardous gas from the drilling fluids and prevent it from kick off. The vacuum degasser and centrifugal degasser is used after shale shaker and behind desander, desilter or mud cleaner, the function is to separate the gas from the gas cut mud and protect the next process equipments like centrifugal pump, and keep the balance of the drilling fluids, their function is same, just vacuum pump is installed horizontally on the tank top, the centrifugal degasser is vertically installed in the mud tank , it can save space on the mud tank.

The mud cleaner produced by GN solids control is a combination of desander cone, desilter cone and bottom shale shaker. With different qty of hydrocylones, there are different treating capacity for option. The desander cone, desilter cone material are 100% polyurethane which is wear resistance material. The bottom shale shaker equipped with 4 panel shaker screens, with composite material frame for longer working life. Centrifugal pump #1feed the mud from degasser tank to desander cone, the clean fluids dropped into the desander compartment, the solids are separated out and drop down to bottom shale shaker, the useful fluids will be collected and the drier solids are separated out from shaker screens. Centrifugal pump #2 feed the mud from desander compartment to desilter cone, the clean fluids dropped into desilter compartment, which is clean fluids can be reused to prepare for new fluids or can be reused directly.
