Recently GN solids control shipped mud mixing system to trenchless engineering company, the technical configuration is as below:


One transfer pump installed on one side of the mixing tank to transfer the mixed drilling mud to other place. The mixing hopper and mixing pump installed on the other side of the mixing tank with proper pipeline fittings, the man hole, clean gate, handrails and stairs are equipped on the mixing tank. The centrifugal pump head is interchangeable with famous brand centrifugal pump, the pump casing and impeller are made of hard ductile iron for better abrasion resistance.


The other mixing tank is consist of mixing hopper, and 2 shear mixing pump with its individual control panel, another transfer pump is on another side of the mixing system to transfer the mud. The pump can cut the chemicals into small pieces for better mixing performance of the chemicals, 2 each round chemical mixing tank are located in the mixing skid, with mud agitator on top of the mixing tank and liquid level meter, pipelines, valves, etc. accessories are attached. The painting and coating color is customized as per client’s requirement.


Except for mud mixing system, GN solids control can also produce dewatering centrifuge package to separate fine solids and get water recovery. The dewatering unit consists of one unit of dewatering centrifuge, 1 unit of centrifuge feeding pump, 1 unit of chemical dosing unit, 1 unit of catching tank. GN desander unit for TBM, piling engineering company should be used before the dewatering centrifuge, desander unit including 1ea double deck shale shaker and hydrocyclones ( desander or desilter), feeding pump, transfer pump and catching tank, the function is to separate coarse solids from the slurry, the fluids can be reused or treated by the dewatering centrifuge unit to get clear water.

1 unit of GNSD-90 disc stack separator and 1 unit of GNLW-454ET decanter centrifuge are shipped to our domestic client. These equipments are for separation of oil ,water and solids.
The working process is as below:


The decanter centrifuge feed pump transfer the oil sludge to decanter centrifuge feed tube, in the meanwhile, the dewatering unit mixed the proper chemicals, the chemical dosing pump transfer the chemicals to static mixer and then to decanter centrifuge feed tube, the mixing oil sludge and chemicals are mixed well, so it will be easily to be separated out by decanter centrifuge, the solids size bigger than 2 microns will be separated out, the oil and water mixture fluids will flow to buffer tank, then feed to disc stack separator, to separate oil, water and little solids. The mixture fluids feed to disc centrifuge must be with solids content less than 3%, otherwise it will block the disc stack separator easily.

GNLW-454ET decanter centrifuge with bowl diameter 18 inch(450mm) , bowl length 74.5 inch (1890mm), max speed is 3500rpm, max G force is 3084G, bowl L/R ratio is 4.2, the main motor and back drive motor will be suggested by our engineer according to client’s material. The handling capacity will be also depend on the chemical to be used and treated material.


GNSD-90 disc stack separator for oil, water, solids separation:
Bowl diameter is 580mm, slide piston is 500mm, the max speed is 6150rpm, max G force is 12273G, motor power is 18.5KW, the starting time is 10 to 15 minutes, the major components of the disc stack separator is the bowl, the process effect is obtained by the rotating drum with high speed.

TBM project require to use high volume water for cooling the machine during boring, it costs very high for the water consumption, and in many countries the discharged slurry should be treated well by environmental protection laws, it is also costly to send the slurry to third party waste treatment facility. The operator need a full package dewatering system which can treat the slurry, the recovery water can be used for drilling, the discharged solids can be collected by waste bag or waste collection box and transport to other place for brick making or landfill. The discharged solids should be with less moisture as possible, the recovery water should be clean enough and suitable to reuse it. Recently GN solids control shipped another set of TBM slurry dewatering centrifuge system to our clients in Singapore, this is repeat order for TBM project.


The big bowl decanter centrifuge is major equipment for the dewatering centrifuge package, working with chemical dosing unit, the big bowl decanter centrifuge treating capacity will be less than designed treating capacity, the actual treating capacity will depend on the raw material solids content, solids size distribution , chemical adding type and quantity, and other aspects. Normally positive displacement pump will be used to feed to the decanter centrifuge, one unit of 3 compartment powder adding system with proper agitator, control panel, chemical dosing pump, supporting pipelines, valves, liquid level meter, hopper. All of the above equipments are installed in the same skid for convenient transportation, and installed inside standard contained which with windows, doors, air conditioner, lightings for convenient operation.


The VFD control panel is non explosion proof with PLC smart control and HMI surface, the 55KW main motor speed, 37KW back drive motor speed, 22KW pump speed can be controlled by VFD control panel. For more information, pls contact with sales engineer.

Recently we shipped one unit of containerized chemical dosing system for dewatering centrifuge to our client in Africa, this is repeat order from one of our old client. The technical configuration is as below:


The three tank automatical powder polymer mixing system, including 3 compartment tank, auger conveyor, hopper, 3 sets agitator, level meter, solenoid valve, piping system, flow meter and PLC control system for automatic continuous operation, 2 sets of chemical dosing pump, 2 sets safety valve, pressure gauge and pump holder, etc.
Coagulant mixing tank including agitator, level meter, 2 sets of chemical dosing pump, safety valve, pressure gauge, pump holder, etc.
All of these above items are installed inside 20ft container, with windows, doors, lightings and air conditioner.


The dewatering unit worked with dewatering centrifuge, as one of professional decanter centrifuge manufacturer in China, GN solids control produce various size decanter centrifuge from 9 inch bowl, 14 inch bowl, 18 inch bowl, 22 inch bowl, 30 inch bowl, with different bowl length for different applications. The client already purchased the dewatering centrifuge before, when the treated fluids/ mud will be recovery for reuse, only mechanical separation will be enough, cause the decanter centrifuge cut point is 2~ 5 microns, which can separate most of the fine solids from the mud/drilling waste. When the drilling project is finished and the purpose is to get pure water and final disposal, we need to use dewatering unit ( into the container) to get the ultra fine solids to be accumulated into the particles which can be treated by decanter centrifuge. The discharged water remained solids only below 1 microns, most of the solids can be separated out, the discharged solids is dry enough to be collected by waste truck.

The GNLW224EP decanter centrifuge is mainly used for waste water treatment when the user need to get very pure clean water, it works together with dewatering unit by adding chemicals to help to separate the ultra fine solids easier. The internal structure is different with the normal centrifuge used for drilling fluids or other kinds of sludge.
The max bowl speed is up to 5000rpm , with the gearbox ratio is 95:1, the max gearbox torque is 1400N.M., with a 7.5HP back drive motor and 15HP main motor, the used is very easily to adjust the differential speed by VFD control panel, the smaller of the differential speed, with the same bowl speed, the clearer of the discharged water, the drier of the discharged solids. The max G force is up to 3077G. The bowl length is 924mm, the bowl diameter is 220mm, the ratio is 4.2, it means, the material fluids can stay in the centrifuge bowl for longer time, with the adjustable pond depth, it will definitely treat the fluids much better and make the discharged water much cleaner.
Sometimes the material to be treated is high corrosion fluids, so the centrifuge fluids touch components should be with high corrosion resistance. For example, the screw is made of stainless steel 304 by heat treatment to 1000℃, the bowl material is all made of SS316L, the collection box is made of stainless steel 304.
